Cracked Tarmac

The only thing more interesting than counting the potholes and cracks in the old, abandoned two-lane stretching between Johns Road and Aurora was the stench reaching up through my helmet's face mask from the dead, bloated, and splitting raccoon sitting out in the hot Florida sun.
